Actress marie baumer decided to slip into the role of acting icon romy schneider (1938-1982) at just the right time, in her own opinion.

Everyone immediately fell in love with romy schneider and wanted to protect her. "Her incredible sensuality and her simultaneous fragility could not be resisted by anyone, least of all by a man," baumer said. "She had retained a childlike naivete, embodying the exact opposite of the cool detachment that emanates from other icons of french cinema."
