Wiesentheider boarding school students visit nurnberg christmas market

Exactly one year after being awarded the title "school without racism – school with courage" (SOR-SMC), the P-seminar ethics of the gymnasium steigerwald-landschulheim wiesentheid organized an excursion to nurnberg for the school’s boarding students, the school announced. A total of 42 schoolchildren from ten different nations set off by bus with seminar leader veronika finkel and educator yvonne kropf to bring the young people from egypt, china, south korea, spain and many other nations closer to the french cultural metropolis. Despite the cold temperatures, the young people listened attentively to their classmates’ presentations on the history of the castle and the significance of nurnberg during the national socialist era, before continuing on to the christkindlesmarkt and lorenzkirche church with its numerous art treasures. The foreign schoolchildren took the opportunity to get an idea of the tradition and to buy typical german christmas presents for their families. Joyfully, zhimei and tianhan, who live near shanghai but will graduate from high school in wiesentheid, showed their achievements.
